Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 April 2026
1. Agreement to terms
By creating an account or using MegaLens.ai ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") with Outreach Solutions Pty Ltd("MegaLens", "we", "us"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service description
MegaLens is a multi-engine AI analysis platform that routes user queries through multiple AI engines for independent evaluation, cross-examination, and synthesis. The Service is provided via a web interface and MCP (Model Context Protocol) IDE integrations.
MegaLens does not provide legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or any other professional services. AI-generated outputs are provided for informational purposes only.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or remain inactive for 12 consecutive months.
4. Service tiers and billing
4.1 BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)
- Free: Unlimited use with your own OpenRouter API key. 2 specialist engines + 1 Council judge (verdict only). Web UI only.
- Pro ($19/month): Enhanced configurations — 3 specialists + Council of 2 elite judges, or 5 specialists + full Council of 3 elite judges. Web UI + MCP IDE integration. In MCP mode, your host AI (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor) serves as the final Council judge at no extra cost. Billed monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the billing period.
BYOK users pay AI provider costs directly to OpenRouter. MegaLens does not charge for API usage on BYOK tiers.
4.2 Managed / Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG)
- Free Trial: 3 audits at no charge. Card required for verification.
- Pay-As-You-Go: Prepaid credit deposits ($5, $10, $25, or $50). Charged at $19 per 1 million blended tokens (combined input + output). A cost estimate is shown before every run.
4.3 PAYG credit terms
- Credits are non-refundable once deposited, except where required by applicable law (including Australian Consumer Law).
- Credits do not expire while your account is active.
- Cost estimates are approximate. Actual charges are based on realized token usage and may differ from the pre-run estimate. A minimum charge of $0.01 per run applies.
- If a run fails due to a provider error after tokens have been consumed, you will be charged only for the tokens actually used. If no tokens were consumed, no charge applies.
- We reserve the right to adjust PAYG pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.
4.4 Taxes
All prices are exclusive of GST, VAT, and other applicable taxes. Taxes will be added where required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates third-party rights
- Submit content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing controls, or security measures
- Use automated systems to scrape, reproduce, or redistribute Service outputs at scale
- Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
- Submit data that you do not have the right to process through third-party AI providers
- Use the Service for surveillance, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects on individuals
6. Your content and inputs
You retain ownership of all content you submit to MegaLens. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it through our pipeline (routing to AI providers, indexing, synthesis) solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit does not include:
- Personal data of third parties without proper authorization
- Attorney-client privileged materials (using the legal skill does not create an attorney-client relationship)
- Trade secrets or proprietary source code that you are not authorized to share with third-party AI providers
- Export-controlled technical data or classified information
- Special category data (health, biometric, political opinions, etc.) unless you have performed your own compliance assessment
Reminder: Content submitted to MegaLens is processed by multiple third-party AI providers, including providers headquartered in China. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. AI output disclaimer
No warranty of accuracy
AI-generated outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, outdated information, or biased conclusions. MegaLens provides multi-perspective analysis to reduce blind spots, but does not guarantee that outputs are accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- Outputs are not legal advice, even when using the "legal" skill.
- Outputs are not security certifications, even when using the "security audit" skill.
- Outputs are not professional opinions of any kind.
- You should independently verify all findings before relying on them for business decisions, compliance, legal filings, or any consequential action.
8. Intellectual property
Your inputs
You retain all rights to content you submit.
Service outputs
To the extent permitted by law, you own the outputs generated from your queries. However, note that:
- AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions.
- Similar queries from different users may produce similar outputs — we do not guarantee exclusivity.
- Downstream AI providers may retain rights to use prompts and outputs for model improvement under their own terms. Check each provider's terms via OpenRouter.
MegaLens platform
The MegaLens platform, including its pipeline architecture, prompt engineering, squad routing, and judge protocols, is proprietary to Outreach Solutions Pty Ltd.
9. API key responsibilities
BYOK users
You are solely responsible for the security of your OpenRouter API key. MegaLens encrypts stored keys (AES-256-GCM) but is not liable for unauthorized use of your key resulting from your own security practices.
Managed/PAYG users
We create and manage an OpenRouter API key on your behalf. This key is used exclusively for MegaLens queries charged to your prepaid balance. You must not attempt to extract, reuse, or share this managed key.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law, which provides guarantees that cannot be excluded):
- MegaLens's total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to MegaLens in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) AUD $500.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
- We are not liable for any actions taken by third-party AI providers, including data retention, model training on your inputs, or service outages.
- We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated outputs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Mutual indemnification
You indemnify us against:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Content you submit that infringes third-party rights
- Your use of outputs in violation of applicable law
- Submitting personal data of third parties without proper authorization
We indemnify you against:
- Claims that the MegaLens platform itself (excluding third-party AI outputs) infringes a third party's intellectual property rights
- Our material breach of applicable data protection law in handling your account data
Each party's indemnification obligations are subject to the liability cap in Section 10.
12. Third-party services and sub-processors
The Service relies on third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy. These providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies. By using MegaLens, you acknowledge that your data will be processed by these third parties.
We select providers dynamically among our currently notified sub-processors based on capability, task fit, quality, availability, safety, and cost, and the exact provider used for a given request may vary over time. While we require OpenRouter, as our model-routing provider, to process data under applicable contractual data protection obligations, downstream model providers operate and manage their own infrastructure independently. Service availability depends in part on upstream provider availability.
13. Service availability
We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (notified in advance where possible)
- Upstream AI provider outages
- Infrastructure incidents
We do not offer SLAs on the free tier. Enterprise SLAs may be negotiated separately.
14. Data handling
Data collection, retention, and your rights are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Enterprise customers requiring a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) should contact [email protected].
15. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond reasonable control, including: natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action, third-party AI provider outages, internet disruptions, power failures, or sanctions/embargo changes.
If a force majeure event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate affected services with written notice.
16. Export controls and sanctions
The Service routes data through AI providers in multiple jurisdictions, including the People's Republic of China. You are responsible for ensuring your use of MegaLens complies with applicable export control laws and sanctions regulations, including:
- Australian Autonomous Sanctions regulations
- US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and ITAR (if applicable to your content)
- EU Dual-Use Regulation
You must not submit export-controlled technical data, classified information, or content subject to ITAR restrictions to the Service. You must not use the Service if you are a person or entity subject to sanctions administered by DFAT (Australia), OFAC (US), or equivalent EU/UK sanctions authorities.
17. Termination
- By you: Cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time through Settings. Pro subscriptions continue until the end of the billing period.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. We may also discontinue the Service entirely with 30 days' notice.
On termination, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy. Outstanding PAYG credits are non-refundable except where required by law.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, unless:
- EU/UK users may invoke mandatory consumer protections of their home jurisdiction.
- Both parties agree to alternative dispute resolution.
19. Dispute resolution
Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith mediation. Either party may initiate mediation by written notice to the other. If mediation fails to resolve the dispute within 60 days, either party may proceed to litigation under the governing law specified above.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account before the effective date.
21. General provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms (including the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and MegaLens.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
